واضاف:”في المقابل، وانسجامًا مع ما تنادي به وتعمل لتنفيذه، لم تتأخّر الأونيسكو مرةً عن مدِّ يد العون إلى لبنان في أزمنة الرخاءِ والمحن على السواء، من خلال النشاطات التي أقيمت عندنا ولا تزال تقام بالشراكة معها في مختلف القطاعات، وأيضًا من خلال إدراجِ مواقعَ لبنانيةٍ عديدة على لائحة التراث العالمي، آخِرُها معرضُ الرئيس الشهيد رشيد كرامي في طرابلس بشِمالِ لبنان، وتسجيلِ بعضٍ من مفردات التراث اللبناني غير المادي على لوائح الأونيسكو ذات الصلة، وكذلك في كارثة انفجار مرفإ بيروت في العام 2020، حيث كان لمنظّمتكم ولمديرها العام أودري أزولاي دورٌ إنساني كبير في تضميد الجراح الجسدية والنفسية التي لحقت باللبنانيين، وفي ترميم وإعادة تأهيل عددٍ من المدارس والمراكز الثقافية والتربوية في الأحياء المتضررة من عصف الانفجار. ”
واردف:” هذا كله مدعاةُ شكر وتصميم لبنانيٍّ على تعميق الشراكة مع الأونيسكو. لأننا مؤمنون بأن الثقافة هي التي تحمي القيم وتضنع التنمية، فهي في أحد أبرز وجوهها، عمليةُ ترميم التاريخ بالكلمة واللون والنغم وسائر أدوات الإبداع، وعقدُ مصالحةٍ بين الماضي والآتي، من أجل إدارةِ المدنية المعاصرة إدارةً سليمة، تتولّى بثَّ الوعي داخل المجتمعات، بأن الثقافة في عمقِها نهجُ حياةٍ وطريقٌ إلى الحرية، واكتناهٌ لعناصر الهويتين الوطنيةِ والإنسانية القائمتين على حفظ التنوع وحماية حرية الرأي والتعبير؛ وعلى التمسك بالعدالة والحقّ والمساواة ومنع الظلم والعدوان كقيَمٍ إنسانيةٍ عليا ينبغي لها أن تسود جميعَ الناس من دون تفرقة أو تمييز”.
